Center Console Boats
Center console boats are the most commonly carried boat type in Robalo’s 2020 model lineup. Center consoles are great fishing boats, but thanks to modern outboards, they also are great for diverse water activities. It’s a great combination for those who want offshore fishing capabilities and still want the comfort of a family boat.
Starting at 16’, Robalo’s 2020 center console models include the R160, R180, R200, R222, R230, R242, R272, and the R302.
Their center console lineup also includes the Explorer series which consists of the R202EX, R222EX, and R242EX. The Explorer series embraces the classic design of a center console boat but focuses more on comfort than fishing. Its luxury aft seat is one such example.
Bay Boats
Bay boats are similar to center consoles, but are designed for cruising bays and nearshore areas, as the name would suggest. They fill the niche between small flats boats and larger boats made for open water. They have the shallow draft to fish in all but the “skinniest” inland waters yet enough deadrise to handle moderate offshore conditions. This means more boating options in one package, so even on a windy day you can enjoy cruising or fishing the sheltered back bay!
Robalo’s 2020 bay boat models include its famous Cayman series. This includes the 206 Cayman, 226, Cayman, 246 Cayman, and 246 Cayman SD. This popular series is the perfect boat to fish the flats or venture offshore, with different sizes available to suit your needs and budget.
Dual Console Boats
Dual Console Boats are the cruising-geared boat with many features for entertainment and luxury. They feature a starboard side helm, rather than the center helm like in a center console boat. They have seating in the front and the back, often along the edges with space in the middle. Dual console boats are still great for fishing but also have lounging areas that give enough room to sunbathe and relax. These boats are known for their versatility, being good for both fishing and cruising and all-around leisure.
