Overview

The 2027 Robalo R252 is a new 25-foot-3-inch center console built for Southwest Florida anglers who also want a boat the whole family enjoys. It works as a fishing platform on the flats and nearshore waters, and as a comfortable cruiser for a sandbar weekend. This one is on order for our Fort Myers location and is finished in Atlas Blue hull sides with white graphics.

On Charlotte Harbor, Pine Island Sound and the backcountry of the Ten Thousand Islands, a draft of just 21 inches helps you reach productive water without hesitation. At 9 feet 2 inches wide, the R252 gives you room to work a cast, fight a fish and move around the cockpit with friends. The fiberglass hull has a Hydro Lift multi-angle design and Kevlar reinforcement, and when the Gulf of Mexico kicks up a chop on the run home, you'll appreciate a boat built for it.

Fishing is where the R252 earns its keep. The cockpit has a 30-gallon insulated livewell at the port aft corner and an 18-gallon livewell in the full transom seat, so you can keep bait lively all day. Twin 25-gallon insulated fish boxes in the bow with overboard drains and a 20-gallon insulated bow cooler take care of the catch. The captain chair leaning post adds four rod holders and a 45-quart Yeti cooler, and horizontal rod storage runs under each gunwale. The fiberglass hardtop adds four more rod holders, an electronics box and LED spreader lights for early starts and late returns.

When the rods come out of the water, the bow casting platform converts to U-shaped seating, and removable cushions and backrests turn the foredeck into a lounge. Up to 11 passengers can come along, and the forward console seat with bolster gives guests a place to settle in. A walk-thru transom door, a four-step telescoping boarding ladder and a freshwater transom shower make beach days at Cayo Costa, Keewaydin and other island stops easy to manage.
