Description

The Yamaha F150LB is the B-generation of the legendary F150 - one of the best-selling 150-hp outboards ever built. Its proven 2.7-liter DOHC 16-valve inline four-cylinder powerhead delivers 150 horsepower with a broad 5000-6000 rpm full-throttle range, smooth Electronic Fuel Injection starts, and excellent fuel economy on regular 87-octane gasoline. At roughly 480 pounds, it offers an outstanding power-to-weight ratio for bay boats, pontoons, center consoles, deep-V hulls, and aluminum fishing boats with a standard 20-inch transom. The F150LB pairs with remote mechanical controls and electric start, and includes power trim and tilt with a wide trim range. A 35-amp alternator keeps batteries and electronics charged, while Yamaha conveniences like variable trolling RPM (adjustable in 50-rpm increments with a compatible Yamaha gauge), a freshwater flushing device, and the Shift Dampener System for quieter gear engagement make every day on the water easier. With a 2.00:1 gear ratio turning large-diameter propellers, it delivers strong hole shot and confident midrange punch. Backed by Yamaha's limited 3-year pleasure-boat warranty, the F150LB is a dependable, economical workhorse for repowers and new rigs alike.
