Description

The Yamaha F200XC is the C-generation of Yamaha's groundbreaking 2.8-liter In-Line Four F200, pairing class-leading light weight with a 25-inch X-long shaft for offshore center consoles, deep-V hulls, and bay boats with higher transoms. Weighing in around 489 pounds, it remains among the lightest 200-hp four-strokes on the water, easing transom loading and improving handling, especially in twin installations. The DOHC 16-valve powerhead with Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) broadens the torque curve for strong hole shot and confident midrange acceleration, while precision multi-point Electronic Fuel Injection delivers smooth starts, clean throttle response, and impressive economy on 89-octane fuel through its 5000-6000 rpm full-throttle range. Designed for remote mechanical controls with an integrated hydraulic steering cylinder for simplified rigging, the F200XC includes electric start and power trim and tilt. Its 50-amp alternator provides abundant charging power for fishfinders, chartplotters, and accessories. Yamaha's signature features round out the package: variable trolling RPM in 50-rpm increments with a compatible digital gauge, an easy freshwater flush device, and the Shift Dampener System for quiet, smooth gear engagement. Backed by Yamaha's limited 3-year pleasure-boat warranty, the F200XC is a proven, efficient offshore performer.
