Description

The Yamaha F200XD is the newest D-generation of Yamaha's celebrated 2.8-liter In-Line Four F200, introduced for the 2025 model year with a redesigned cowling for enhanced airflow, rugged durability, and a sharper modern profile. This 25-inch X-long shaft, remote mechanical model now ships with a factory-integrated hydraulic steering cylinder (digital DEC versions feature integrated electro-hydraulic steering and Helm Master EX compatibility), streamlining rigging, decluttering the transom, and sharpening response. The proven DOHC 16-valve powerhead with Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) boosts torque across the entire rev range, producing 200 horsepower with a 5000-6000 rpm full-throttle range on economical 89-octane fuel. Even with integrated steering aboard, it remains a remarkably light 200-hp four-stroke, preserving the power-to-weight advantage that makes the I-4 F200 ideal for bay boats, center consoles, and small-to-medium offshore hulls - single or twin. Electric start and power trim and tilt are standard, and the 50-amp alternator delivers plenty of charging power for today's electronics-heavy helms. Yamaha conveniences include variable trolling RPM in 50-rpm increments with a compatible digital gauge, a freshwater flush device, and the Shift Dampener System for quiet shifting. Backed by Yamaha's limited 3-year pleasure-boat warranty, the F200XD is the most refined I-4 F200 yet.
