The Yamaha F115XB is the 25-inch-shaft version of Yamaha's best-selling 115, built around a 1.8-liter DOHC 16-valve inline-four with multi-point EFI. The four-valve-per-cylinder design gives exceptional volumetric efficiency and one of the lightest weights in the 115 class at 386 pounds, delivering quick planing, strong midrange punch and a 5300-6300 rpm full-throttle range. A three-phase, 35-amp alternator - more than 45 percent more charging output than its predecessor - keeps batteries and electronics powered, while Yamaha's Variable Trolling RPM Switch (VTS) allows precision trolling adjustments in 50-rpm increments, including sub-idle trolling for serious anglers. Electric start, remote mechanical controls and power trim and tilt are standard, and a freshwater flush device extends engine life. With its extra-long shaft, the F115XB is prime power for 25-inch-transom multi-species boats, deep-V fishing hulls, pontoons and coastal center consoles. Sold without a propeller (15-spline, dealer-matched) and backed by Yamaha's 3-year limited warranty.
