Welcome back, Fish Tale Boat Club members. We are very excited for the season ahead, and we want to share a few updates on how things will work this year so everyone knows what to expect.
The Website Is the Club's Home This Season

As you can probably tell if you're reading this - we have a new website, and new email newsletter(s). We've been making a ton of changes in the background at Fish Tale over the off season and are super excited to be slowly announcing everything we've done - and everything we're planning on doing. For now - for clubs, what's important to understand is that everything now lives in one place. Here on our website: https://fishtale.com/boat-club.
Our Boat Club events calendar shows what is coming up, and every event has its own page with the details and the RSVP form. If you would like events on your own calendar, you can download them with our calendar file. The initial email we sent out to members for the upcoming season also includes a link to this file (so you can save to your favorite calendar - and the dates/times will automatically appear). Similarly - every event you get notified about will have the ability to RSVP (more in a minute) as well as a single click button to help you add the event to your own personal calendars.
First up on the calendar: our on-water rendezvous at Slipaway Marina on Thursday, November 5, 2026, and the Kick-off Meet-up at the Fort Myers Boat Show on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Take a look at each event page for the full details.
Please RSVP for Every Event
This season one things we're asking all members to do is to RSVP on every event ahead of time, as we're using this list to help us plan out all of the communications that go out AFTER someone has RSVP'ed. RSVP'ing is required for each event. It matters for two reasons.
You are locked in. When you RSVP, we know you are coming, and we have secured space for you with the venue (often times we have to secure the spots in advance and we have a hard limit on the number of vessels that can attend).
It is how we reach you. The RSVP list is what we use for all of the communication leading up to and on the day of an event, including the meeting point, VHF channel, timing, and any weather changes.
Think of the RSVP as your reservation and your sign-up for updates, all in one quick step. We would hate for anyone to miss a meeting point change or a weather update simply because we did not have them on the list.
No RSVP means no updates, so please do not skip it, even if you are sure you will be there. Head to the events page, pick the event, and RSVP right on that event's page. Each event has its own RSVP, so you will do this once per event.
How Club Emails Work
We want to keep your inbox useful, not crowded, so we keep it simple. Season announcements go to all club members. Event-specific emails, meaning the details, the lead-up, and the day-of updates, go to the members who RSVP'd for that event. We have a set schedule for these which is the beginning of the month - that month's events, and then approximately 10 days out - signup for that specific event (and then if you've RSVP'ed you get all the updates for that specific event leading up to the day).
Every email includes a link to manage your preferences or unsubscribe, so you are always in control of what you receive. And if you ever have a question, just write to us at club@fishtale.com.
Thank you for being part of the club. We cannot wait to get back on the water with you.
